Irrigation Corporation is headquartered in Walla Walla, Washington,
USA. We plan, design, develop, manufacture and sell proprietary products
for the agricultural irrigation equipment market. We are focused on doing
things that improve the state of the art of agricultural irrigation –
saving water, saving energy and doing a better job of irrigating. We
believe that irrigated agriculture is absolutely essential to sustaining
and improving the standard of living of a growing world population. As we
move into the 21st century, water will be the most precious element on the
face of the earth. We will have to produce more food and fiber on less
land with less water. We feel that we have a relevant product line and
that the new products we are working on will make us part of the solution
rather than part of the problem.Background

Nelson
Irrigation Corporation took up shop in a small farming town in Eastern
Washington State back in 1973. The President, Bart Nelson, decided the
West was where it was at. He saw great opportunity for the research,
development, and manufacture of agricultural irrigation equipment. Bart
acquired his love for irrigation by watching the works of his grandfather,
L.R. Nelson, and his father, Russell Nelson at L.R. Manufacturing in
Peoria, Illinois. After the sale of L.R. Nelson Mfg., Russell helped his
son set up Nelson Irrigation Corporation to fully concentrate on
manufacturing state-of-the-art agricultural irrigation sprinklers and
accessories. The original team: Bart Nelson, Larry Meyer (Engineering),
Bob Rupar (Marketing), and Skip Harrold (Manufacturing) along with
countless others have contributed to making NIC what it is today. NIC is
known the world-over for its "innovation in irrigation" and continual
commitment to the quality and care of irrigated agriculture.
